The Technology Inside the Solace
The Haven Audio Solace is a hardware-powered audio processor that restores muffled speech for veterans, tech workers, families, and gamers. It runs real-time algorithms that amplify voice frequencies, tame sudden spikes, and optionally notch tinnitus—with zero network dependency and no audio lag.
The Four Core Audio Algorithms
1. Speech Range Amplification
The Solace routes incoming digital sound through Cascaded IIR Biquad Filters. Many people—after aging, service noise, or long headset days—lose sensitivity between 2,000 Hz and 8,000 Hz, where consonants like S, T, and F live. A custom 9-band equalizer amplifies those missing speech cues without raising the whole room.
2. Look-Ahead Dynamic Range Compression (DRC)
An envelope detector tracks volume milliseconds before it hits your ears. Explosions, crowds, game gunfire, or sudden meeting peaks get clamped; soft dialogue and whispers lift into your clear zone—so you stop chasing the remote or mute button.
3. Tinnitus Notch Filtering
When ringing sits on a specific frequency, a High-Q band-stop filter cuts a sharp digital notch at that tone. That can ease listening fatigue during movies, calls, and late-night sessions.
4. Continuous Ambient Masking
Total silence can pull attention back to ringing. Solace can inject a faint pink-noise layer under media so quiet scenes stay comfortable without sounding like a special effect.
Completely Safe WebSerial Syncing
The Solace does not join your home or office network. Your browser’s WebSerial API opens a direct local USB line to flash your profile onto an isolated data partition in under three seconds—no cloud account required.
